This is undertaken in two ways. The students run a salon under tutor supervision at the academy and also work one day a week of their second year in a separate salon. The Academy participates in various outreach programs. This develops the students empathy is feed back into our community.
Currently the Academy work is with Inchanga Rotary in our pamper the seniors program.
Look good Feel better campaign workshops to support and uplift woman undergoing treatment for cancer.
Parklands Hospital cancer support group.
Browns school teenager workshops.
During the two years the students present dissertations on various aspects of the industry. These are researched by each student and presented to both the internal and external examination body’s.

The Academy is proud of our girls success both in the international examination room and in the field.
At the end of 2005 we received an aggregate well above 80% for theory and practical on our Swiss examinations and a 100% pass rate on all International examinations.
The Academy graduates can be found at day spa's and hydro, such as the prestigious Brookdale, and many email us with news from London, America, New Zealand, Portugal and Australia.
Many of our graduates run their own successful salons and spas and we are privileged to have played a role in helping them achieve their dreams
